Large Control Room!

This is the control room at Llangennech. It houses the huge vintage SSL console and a vast array of outboard gear including Ureis, GML, BSS, Joemeek, Focusrite etc. There are 4 types of monitors (Tannoy, Quested, Yamaha etc.)- 3 selectable at any time. I also have some cool leather couches and a great kitchen with a kettle and microwave and the best coffee machine in the world!

Huge Live Room!

The funky paint job is finished and the floor is now done. I think you can get some idea of the size, and if you're a user of the old sonic-one, you can see that the whole studio would have fitted into this space! The only place to record live bands comfortably, there are even 5 individual headphone mixes!

Classic Vintage Desk!

It is a 40 channel SSL 4048E console. This board has a major history. Previously installed in the legendary Wessex Studios, London. It was the studio where bands like the Sex Pistols, The Pretenders, XTC, Queen and The Clash, even Coldplay used to record their stuff. Wessex has now been converted into luxury flats but the mixing desk lives on in Sonic One!



sonic-one is an SSL/Mac G5 based digital facility. I do have analogue transfer facillities. Its spacious control room is packed with state-of-the-art and 'classic' technologies with many extras like, a good in house drum kit and many guitar and bass amp configurations.
So create that masterpiece or just polish your turds.

sonic-one's main recording setup is based around the Steinberg Nuendo system running on an G5 computer with MOTU inputs and outputs. We have a comprehensive range of plugins and soft synths, as well as the HALion sampling system. It is cross platform too, so if you have Cubase or Nuendo on your PC or Mac you are instantly compatible with sonic-one.

...and another thing....

Do you have some drum tracks that are recorded, were played to click but are, let's say not the tightest? No problem - bring 'em in to SONIC - ONE and get them tightened up (and anything else while you're there!... I won't tell a soul!!)

sonic-one can not only offer a great and comfortable recording facility, but has a few other tricks up it's sleeve. It can cater for singer songwriters, who may play acoustic guitar or piano, and now need the whole nine yards to complete the single or album. There is a long list of session musicians associated with the studio. Drummers, bass players, guitarists, keyboard players, lead and backing vocalists and even brass sections are all available on request and charge hourly. These guys and gals are the best around in their price range! And will maximize your time in the studio. They can play any style and will astound you with their professionalism! No longer is that huge production sound out of reach of songwriters and solo artists.
